Just a sweet little note from our house to yours, to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope this finds all of you safe, happy, and healthy. It’s certainly been an odd year, hasn’t it? Like everyone else, Steve and I are learning to adapt, revamping our holiday family traditions. We’ve forced ourselves to toss out useless ideas of the way things always were and always should be and readjust our thinking into 2020-mode with the way things are right now.
I don’t like change. Then again, who does? But Steve’s extremely high risk, so this year is obviously different. No being with our family (3,000 miles away, involving airline travels through two hub airports); limited exposure in stores; no visits to our hairdresser (did you see my new hair style? I call it COVID-COLOR!); no social gatherings. The last time we were with friends was Sept. 13th for our 40th wedding anniversary. A very small group of friends were with us on that day as Steve and I celebrated. I’m sharing a picture of us from that day. I hope it puts a smile on your face, the way seeing it always does mine!

Meanwhile, whatever it takes to keep us alive and healthy for our 41st anniversary next September, I’m willing to do. I’m safe at home with the guy I love, indulging in my love for reading new books, savoring old favorites, and writing my own books. Saturday Night Sisters just came out last month. If you haven’t had a chance to peek inside, why not treat yourself to a copy today? Books make wonderful Christmas gifts!
My wish for us all is for a safe, happy, healthy, and holy holiday season, and all good wishes for 2021. Thank you for inviting me into your homes and hearts through my books, and for being part of my world. Much love to you all.
~ Kathleen
